New baby at maison mk

For all of those who have watched Pauline, our manager, grow bigger & bigger over the past 9 months, she is now the proud mummy of a baby girl called Salome, born yesterday. Both of them are healthy & well - she is taking the whole day off work !!

Congratulations to the whole family from all of us at maison mk.

Ramadan 2010 !!

...and before I move on, its time to spare a thought for all the people in Marrakech (and all over the world) going through Ramadan at the moment. Its nearly 50 degrees out there & the are eating & drinking nothing between sunrise & sunset which must be so difficult. They accept it with such good grace & look at it as a positive thing in the year.

The lunar cycle means that Ramadan comes 10 days earlier each year so its going to be in the middle of summertime for the next 5 to 10 years ! It finishes around the 10th September, but all depends on how the moon is looking.

Number One on Tripdavisor....again

Just in case any of you missed it, we are back to number one on tripadvisor again. We ask every guest to put a review up & about 20% of them actually do it. Given that I have never made the effort to ever write a review on a hotel, I send a big thankyou to all of those that took the time & the effort to write such kind things about maison mk.

Gastro mk, our new fine dining restaurant opens in September so lets see what number we can reach with the gastro clients in the restaurant section of tripadvisor!
