Its always lovely sending out the maison mk quarterly newsletter. It generates so much email traffic in my inbox.
Firstly there are all the people out of the office - on holiday, at conferences, on maternity leave, and the dreaded ' no longer working here'...oops.
Then there are the ones who can't read it - only a few, but it seems sometimes the background is dark & the text can't be seen clearly. Usually they haven't clicked on 'download photos / images' in their email software, but sometimes its just a mystery.
And then there are loads of lovely emails from people that just send in good luck messages, or memories of their visit, etc, etc. Its always nice to hear what you are up to so do keep sending me stuff. I received this from some great clients that stayed last October at maison mk :
"Yes, we did watch the Jamie programme with great interest, and then proceeded to bore all our friends by making them watch it and pointing out the wonderful views from the roof terrace!
I saw your comments about the recipes and just wanted to let you know that we recently held a Morroccan evening for friends and most of the dishes were from the programme. The Meshwe Lamb is great, also the chicken tagine,but the The Snake dessert is absolutely fantastic, we were still eating it 3 days later and it was still divine, especially with the dates soaked in orange juice and vanilla icecream."
That's really nice to hear - even though we only get to be with clients for a few days during their stay, its still a special time & we always want to make those few days totally memorable for each and every client.
I speak to people sometimes about Marrakech & if they have been there I ask them where they stayed. Often they cannot remember the name at all - it would be my biggest nightmare if somebody stayed at maison mk & could not even remember the name of it !! Repeat after me...maison mk, maison mk, maison mk...
