woefully late to be posting these images to the blog, but this was a snap of Aoibheann joining the staff for the end of day meal after they had been fasting for the past 13 hours. No food, no drinks, no cigarettes, no anything - tough people, no wonder Marrakech gets a bit ratty & argumentative for the final couple of hours every day ! One month of fasting, followed by a huge celebaration & feast - Eid.

ventriloquist's dummy
In Morocco, the art of the ventriloquist is alive & well. This guy
has a dummy that is made to look like a chicken. The clever thing is
that it can still squawk & cluck while the guy is drinking a glass
of water.....amazing !

This exotic looking chappie was in one of the shops near the riad. Snapped on her iPhone by Aoibheann whist out shopping for goodies. Me, i never seem to get the chance to leave the front door - must get out more & see Marrakech !
